General betting conditions
These rules apply to bets placed through Wazamba Casino where betting products are made available to you. By opening an account, placing a bet or using a betting feature, you confirm that you have read and understood these rules, together with the applicable account terms, privacy information and responsible gambling guidance. Product-specific rules may also apply to particular sports, events, markets, games or promotions.
You are responsible for checking the details of every bet before confirming it. This includes the selected event or game, market, outcome, stake, odds, bet type and any other information shown on the confirmation screen. A bet is not considered placed merely because selections have been added to a bet slip. It becomes a bet only when it has been accepted and a confirmation is displayed or otherwise recorded in your account.
You must be legally permitted to gamble in the place where you are located and must meet the applicable minimum age requirement. You must not use the service if gambling is unlawful where you are located. We may apply location, identity, age and account checks before allowing access to betting services or processing a transaction.
An account is personal to the registered account holder. You must provide information that is accurate, complete and kept up to date. You must not permit another person to use your account, place bets on your behalf or access your account credentials. You are responsible for keeping passwords, payment information and other security details confidential and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- Only one person may use an individual player account.
- Bets must be placed using funds available in your account or an approved payment method.
- You must not place bets for another person or allow another person to control your betting activity.
- You must not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, market manipulation or any other prohibited purpose.
- We may refuse, suspend, limit or review activity where required by law, security procedures or these rules.
Placing and accepting bets
The information shown on a betting interface is provided to help you make a selection. It may include the name of an event, the scheduled start time, the available market, the outcome options and the applicable odds. Information can change before a bet is accepted. You should review the latest information displayed at the time of confirmation rather than relying on an earlier view of the bet slip.
Displayed odds, prices and lines may change before acceptance. If a price changes, you may be shown the updated price and asked to confirm the bet again. The accepted odds and stake are those recorded in the bet confirmation or account history. If a technical issue causes different information to appear in different places, the transaction record maintained by the betting system will generally be used, subject to any correction required by law or a clear error.
A bet may be rejected or remain pending if there is an insufficient balance, a connection interruption, a market suspension, a system issue, an account restriction or another reason affecting acceptance. A message stating that a request has been sent does not necessarily mean the bet has been accepted. Always check your account history or bet confirmation before assuming that a bet is active.
You should not place a further bet to correct or replace a bet until you have checked whether the original request was accepted. If a bet is duplicated because of a clear technical problem, the affected transactions may be reviewed and corrected in accordance with applicable law and these rules. We will not normally be responsible for a mistake made by you when selecting an outcome, entering a stake or confirming a bet.
Bet types and combinations
The available bet types may vary by product and event. A single bet normally relates to one selection, while a multiple or combination bet may include more than one selection. Some markets may permit different ways of combining selections, subject to the information displayed when the bet is placed. The rules for a particular bet type, including how a selection is treated if an event is cancelled or changed, should be checked before confirmation.
Where a bet contains selections that cannot be combined under the applicable market rules, it may be rejected, adjusted or settled in another permitted form. Any applicable deductions, adjustments or special conditions should be shown in the relevant betting information. If you are unsure how a bet type works, do not confirm it until you understand the possible outcomes.
Events, markets and settlement
Bets are settled using the official result or other result source specified in the rules for the relevant product. Settlement may take account of the result at the end of the event, a recognised governing body's decision, an official statistical record or another clearly stated measurement. The applicable market rules may explain whether extra time, tie-breaks, penalties, replays or later changes are included.
The scheduled start time is used to identify the event, but an event may be delayed, rescheduled, interrupted or abandoned. The treatment of a bet in these circumstances depends on the relevant market rules and the information available about the event. If an event is cancelled, materially changed or not completed, selections may be voided, settled under a specific rule or handled in another way required by the product terms.
A result may be reviewed after initial settlement if new official information becomes available or if an obvious settlement error is identified. Corrections may be made where a result was recorded incorrectly, a market was settled using the wrong information or a bet was affected by a clear technical or administrative error. We aim to apply corrections fairly and consistently.
If a market is offered with an obvious error in the displayed odds, handicap, total, selection name or other essential information, the bet may be reviewed. A clearly incorrect price or market description does not automatically create an entitlement to a particular return. Where possible, the affected bet will be cancelled or corrected in a manner consistent with the applicable rules and law.
Account history and returns
Your account history should show the status of accepted bets, including relevant selections, stakes, odds and settlement information. You should review this information and raise any apparent error promptly through the available support or complaints process. A displayed balance or provisional result may change while a transaction or market is being checked.
Any return from a winning bet is calculated according to the accepted stake, applicable odds, bet type and settlement rules. Returns may be affected by a void selection, an adjustment, a valid correction or a product-specific condition. No result should be treated as final until the bet has been settled in the account.
Cancellations, account reviews and responsible betting
Once a bet has been accepted, you may not be able to cancel or change it. A cancellation or early settlement feature is not guaranteed and may only be available for certain products or circumstances. If such a feature is offered, its availability, price and terms may change while the event or game is in progress. A request is effective only when it has been confirmed in your account.
We may suspend a market, delay settlement or place an account under review where there is a technical issue, unusual activity, a suspected breach of these rules, a payment concern, a verification requirement or another legitimate reason. Reviews may include checking account information, the source of funds, transaction history and betting activity. Access to some or all services may be restricted while a review is underway.
We may void or adjust bets where this is necessary to correct a clear error, address a duplicated transaction, apply the rules for an affected event or comply with a legal or regulatory requirement. We will not use a review process to change a valid result simply because the outcome was unexpected. Any action taken will be based on the circumstances of the transaction and the applicable rules.
Gambling should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to earn money or recover losses. Set a budget before you start and never stake money needed for everyday expenses. Do not chase losses, borrow money to gamble or continue playing when gambling is causing stress. Take breaks, use available account controls and consider reducing or stopping your play if it no longer feels enjoyable.
- Decide how much time and money you can afford to spend before betting.
- Keep betting within your planned budget and do not increase stakes to recover previous losses.
- Avoid betting when you are upset, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or unable to make clear decisions.
- Use available deposit, spending, time or access controls where they are offered.
- Ask for help through an appropriate gambling support service if you are concerned about your gambling.
If you believe a bet has been accepted, settled or recorded incorrectly, check your bet history first and keep any relevant transaction information. Concerns should be raised through the available customer support or complaints channel. We may ask for details needed to identify the account, event and transaction, but you should never send your password or full payment credentials.
These Betting Rules should be read together with the other terms applying to your account. If a product-specific rule conflicts with a general statement on this page, the product-specific rule will normally apply to that product, subject to applicable Australian law. We may update these rules when our services, legal obligations or operating procedures change. The version available at the time of your bet is generally the relevant version.
